traffic accident patrol patch

A Festus woman and man were injured Friday afternoon, Dec. 15, in a two-vehicle accident on Hwy. TT south of Boyce Lane south of Festus, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

At 3:02 p.m., a 16-year-old Festus boy was driving a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado north on the highway, crossed the center line and struck the right side of a southbound 2023 Nissan Kicks driven by Heidi L. Staley, 50, of Festus. Then both vehicles ran off the road, the report said.

No injuries were reported for the teenager.

However, Staley was moderately injured and a passenger in the Kicks – Robert B. Boeving, 58, of Festus – sustained minor injuries. Both were taken by Joachim-Plattin Ambulance to Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City, according to the report.

The teen, Staley and Boeving were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.

Both vehicles were totaled, the report said.

The highway patrol did not release the teen's name because he is a juvenile.
