A 77-year-old Grubville man and a 17-year-old Lonedell boy died after a two-vehicle crash Feb. 28 near St. Clair, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
The Highway Patrol no longer identifies victims of vehicle crashes. The Regional Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victims as Kayden Glass of Lonedell and Scotty Goodell of Grubville.
According to the Highway Patrol, Glass was driving a 2001 Chevrolet S-10 eastbound at 9:24 a.m. on Hwy. 30 near Pond Ford Road in Franklin County when he crossed the center line and struck a 2017 Lincoln MKC driven by Goodell head-on. Glass was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash by ambulance personnel. Goodell was taken by St. Clair Ambulance District to Mercy Hospital Washington where he was pronounced dead at 10:16 a.m.
The report states both vehicles were totaled, and both drivers were wearing seat belts.
