An Imperial man was injured Friday afternoon, Oct. 27, when the motorcycle he was riding was rear-ended at Little Brennan Road and Hwy. 30 in the Murphy area in unincorporated Fenton, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 2:05 p.m., Gregory A. Feeney, 61, of Imperial was riding a southbound 2007 Harley-Davidson XL1200 and had stopped. In the meantime, Hajir J. Yahya, 22, of High Ridge, in a southbound 2013 Dodge Journey, failed to notice the motorcycle, and the front of the SUV struck the rear of the bike, the report said.
No injuries were reported for Yahya. Feeney, however, was moderately injured and taken by North Jefferson County Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, according to the report.
Feeney was wearing a helmet, and Yahya was wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.
The motorcycle and the SUV were moderately damaged, the report said.
