Two teenage boys, one from Arnold and the other from High Ridge, and two teenage girls, both from High Ridge, were injured early Saturday morning, July 20, in a one-car accident on Lonedell Road east of East Drive in the Arnold area, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

At 12:30 a.m., the 16-year-old Arnold boy was driving a 2012 Ford Fusion west on Lonedell Road, and allegedly was going too fast for the road conditions and was being inattentive before failing to negotiate a downhill curve to the left, causing the car to partially run off the north side of the road and strike a tree, the report said.

The Arnold boy, along with a 15-year-old girl and a 16-year-old girl, who were passengers in the car, were seriously injured, and the 16-year-old High Ridge boy, another passenger, was moderately injured, and all four were taken by Rock Township Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, according to the report.

It is unknown if the driver was wearing a seat belt, and the three passengers were not wearing them, the patrol reported.

The car was totaled, the report said.

The highway patrol did not release the teens' names because they are juveniles.
