At 1:28 p.m., Vincent C. Gomez, 23, of De Soto was driving a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado north on the highway, allegedly too fast for the wet road conditions, and ran off the left side of the road, where the pickup struck a tree, the report said.

Vincent Gomez was taken by private conveyance to Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur, and the other three were taken by Valle Ambulance to Mercy St. Louis, according to the report.
Charles Gomez was listed in satisfactory condition as of late this afternoon, Oct. 1, and the others were treated and released, a hospital spokesperson said.
According to the report, Vincent Gomez and Gonsalves were wearing seat belts, and Charles Gomez and Miller were not wearing them.
