Rose M. Baugher, 65, of Festus was hurt Wednesday evening (June 16) in a two-car accident at Hwy. 67 and Montauk Drive north of Olympian Village, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

At 5:18 p.m., Baugher was driving a 2014 BMW 328 north on the highway, and Samuel M. Boyd, 24, of Desloge was driving a 2016 Dodge Challenger west on Montauk Drive and after stopping at a stop sign, pulled out to get onto southbound Hwy. 67, reportedly without yielding to northbound traffic, and pulled into the path of the Challenger. The front of the BMW struck the front left side of the Challenger, the report said.

No injuries were reported for Boyd. However, Baugher was moderately injured and taken by Joachim-Plattin Ambulance to Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City, where she was treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.

The two cars were extensively damaged, the report said.
