A Festus teenager and a Bloomsdale woman were injured Thursday, March 2, in a two-car accident at highways P and A west of Festus, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 4:12 p.m., Ana A. Messmer, 27, of Bloomsdale was driving a northbound 2017 Honda Civic and crossed the double, yellow center lines before the front left side of the car struck the front left side of a southbound 2014 Ford driven a 17-year-old Festus boy, the report said.
The teen was moderately injured, and Messmer had minor injuries, according to the report.
Both of the drivers were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.
The two cars were totaled, the report said.
The highway patrol did not release the teen’s name because he is a juvenile.
