A Festus man was struck by a vehicle while walking across Hwy. 67 north of Montauk Drive and Olympian Village on Tuesday, Nov. 21, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 6:55 p.m., Michael J. Chapman, 32, was crossing the southbound lane of Hwy. 67 when a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Stacy L. Ward, 51, of Desloge, struck him, the report said.
Chapman was seriously injured and taken by Joachim-Plattin Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, the report said.
According to the report, Ward was wearing a seat belt, and the Silverado was moderately damaged.
