A 41-year-old Fenton man was arrested for suspicion of driving while intoxicated following a two-vehicle accident that occurred late Thursday afternoon, Aug. 11, in on Hwy. 30 east of High Ridge Boulevard in High Ridge that left a Hillsboro man injured, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 4:30 p.m., the Fenton man was driving a westbound 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee and while changing lanes, struck a westbound 2022 Qipai motorcycle that Kevin T. Williams, 38, of Hillsboro was riding.
No injuries were reported for the Fenton man.
However, Williams was moderately injured and taken by North Jefferson County Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County where he was listed in satisfactory condition as of Friday afternoon, Aug. 12, a hospital spokesperson said.
The Fenton man was wearing a seat belt, and Williams was wearing a helmet, the patrol reported.
The motorcycle was totaled, and the SUV had minor damage, the report said.
The patrol arrested the Fenton man at 5:05 p.m. at SSM Health St. Clare Hospital in Fenton for suspicion of driving while intoxicated – persistent offender – resulting in injury, according to the report.
His name will not be published unless charges are filed against him, and as of Friday afternoon, none had been filed.
