A 41-year-old Fenton man was arrested for suspicion of driving while intoxicated following a two-vehicle accident at Hwy. 141 and Astra Way in Arnold. The accident happened about 10 p.m. March 9, Arnold Police reported.
The suspect was driving a Chevrolet Blazer north on Astra Way and allegedly ran a red light before the SUV struck a Cadillac headed west on Hwy. 141, Detective Lt. James Jones said.
No one in the Cadillac was injured. However, the suspect complained that his neck and side were hurting, so he was transported to St. Anthony’s Medical Center in south St. Louis County, Jones said.
He said the man appeared intoxicated but would not submit a blood sample. The suspect was issued summonses to appear in Arnold Municipal Court for running a red light and DWI, Jones said.
