An Arnold man was killed early Saturday evening, June 24, in a motorcycle accident on Gravois Road north of Hwy. 30 near Byrnes Mill.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that Michael Bradley, 55, was riding a 2001 Harley Davidson FXSTI motorcycle south on Gravois Road at 6:05 p.m. when he failed to negotiate a curve to the left and rode off the right side of the road and into a guard rail fence. The motorcycle overturned and Bradley was thrown off, the report said.
He was taken by North Jefferson Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, where he was pronounced dead at 7:07 p.m., the report said.
Bradley was not wearing a state-approved safety helmet, the report said. The motorcycle had extensive damage, according to the report.
