Two men, one from Crystal City and the other from St. Louis, were injured Sept. 1 in an accident involving a motorcycle and an SUV on I-255 east of Telegraph Road in south St. Louis County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 11:25 p.m., Ethan A. Pitman, 20, of Crystal City was riding a 2022 Harley-Davidson FXST east on the interstate, and Kermit L. Jones, 54, of St. Louis was driving a 2008 Honda CRV east on the interstate, and the left side of the motorcycle struck the right side of the SUV, the report said.
Both Pitman and Jones were moderately injured and taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County.
Pitman was wearing a helmet, and Jones was wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.
The two vehicles sustained minor damage, the report said.
