A St. Louis man and woman were injured Friday morning, July 19, in a two-vehicle accident at Hwy. 141 and Schneider Drive in the Jefferson County portion of Fenton, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 11:31 a.m., Michael R. Sippel, 65, of Fenton was driving a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado south on the highway and struck the rear of a southbound 2009 Ford Focus that was stopped on the highway. Lawrence B. Doepke, 82, of St. Louis was driving the Focus, the report said.
No injuries were reported for Sippel.
However, Doepke and a passenger in the Focus – Sharon A. Doepke, 49, of St. Louis – were moderately injured and taken by Rock Township Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, the report said.
Sippel and the Doepkes were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.
The Focus was totaled, and the Silverado was moderately damaged, the report said.
