A Dittmer woman was injured Sunday morning, Sept. 10, in a one-vehicle accident on Hwy. Y near Longview Drive southwest of Hillsboro, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 9:45 a.m., Marsha A. Barrale, 70, of Dittmer was driving a 2018 Kia Soul north when she ran off the right side of the road and struck a mailbox and two trees, the report said.
Barrale was moderately injured and transported by Valle Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, where she was listed in serious condition on Monday afternoon, Sept. 11, a hospital spokesman said.
According to the report, Barrale was wearing a seat belt, and the vehicle was totaled.
