A 74-year-old Dittmer woman was injured Monday morning, Feb. 13, following a medical episode that led to a crash on Hwy. 30 at Adele Lane in Dittmer, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 8:40 a.m., Joanne Fields was driving a 2009 Ford Focus east on the highway when she had a medical episode, traveled off the right side of the road and struck a tree, the report said.
Fields was moderately injured and taken by North Jefferson County Ambulance District to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, where she was listed in good condition on Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 14, a hospital spokesman said.
According to the report, Fields was wearing a safety device and the vehicle was totaled.
