Two men, one from Dittmer and the other from Salisbury, were injured in a crash on Monday evening, Sept. 23, on Hwy. B. north of Grandview Drive in western Jefferson County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

At 7 p.m., William D. Temple, 45, of Dittmer was driving a southbound 2012 Kia Soul when he swerved to avoid another vehicle, traveled off the right side of the road and struck a tree, the report said.

Temple was moderately injured and a passenger, Dana D. Tinker, 48, had minor injuries, the report said. Both were taken by Big River Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County.

As of this afternoon, Sept. 24, Tinker was in satisfactory condition, and Williams was treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.

Both Temple and Tinker were not wearing seat belts, and the vehicle was totaled.
