A 66-year-old Dittmer man was seriously injured on Monday afternoon (Dec. 11) when the car he was driving ran off Hwy. 30 and hit a utility pole, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.
At about 4:23 p.m., Michael C. White was driving a 1993 Ford Taurus east on Hwy. 30 just before its intersection with Old Gravois, and he “failed to negotiate a curve and ran off the road,” the report said.
The car then struck a rock and a utility pole, according to the report.
White was transported to by the North Jefferson Ambulance District St. Anthony’s Medical Center in south St. Louis County, where he was listed in satisfactory condition this afternoon (Dec. 12), a hospital spokesman said.
White was not wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.
The car was totaled, the report said.
