Michelle Gibson, 50, of De Soto was hurt May 24 in a three-vehicle accident on I-55 north of Imperial Main Street, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 4:46 p.m., Kevin R. Newton, 28, of Wentzville was driving a 2018 Kia Sorento south on I-55 and struck the rear of a southbound 2017 Toyota Tacoma driven by Clay S. Street, 31, of Farmington. That collision caused the Tacoma to strike the rear of a southbound 2008 Pontiac Vibe driven by Gibson, the report said.
No injuries were reported for Newton or Street. However, Gibson was moderately hurt and taken by Rock Township Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County.
All three drivers were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.
The Sorento was totaled, the Tacoma was extensively damaged and the Vibe was moderately damaged, the report said.
