Melissa L. Lawrence, 30, of De Soto was injured Thursday morning (Oct. 28) in a one-vehicle accident on Hwy. 21 south of the Old Hwy. 21 Shady Valley interchange, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 6:20 a.m., Lawrence was driving a 2012 GMC Yukon north on Hwy. 21, and the SUV began sliding on the wet pavement, ran off the right side of the road and overturned, the report said.
She was moderately injured and taken by Rock Township Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, where she was treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.
Lawrence was wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.
The vehicle was totaled, the report said.
