Darrick G. Stotler, 46, of De Soto died in a motorcycle crash early today, Sept. 4, on Hwy. CC north of Marathon Road in Olympian Village, an unincorporated area near De Soto, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At midnight, Stotler was riding a southbound 2016 Kawasaki Ninja 650 when he lost control, was ejected from the motorcycle and reportedly struck his head on the ground.
Joachim-Plattin Ambulance personnel pronounced Stotler dead on the scene at 12:51 a.m., the report said.
Stotler was taken by Superior Mortuary Transport to the St. Louis County Morgue, the report said.
According to the report, Stotler was not wearing a Missouri Department of Transportation-approved safety helmet, and the motorcycle was extensively damaged.
