James A. Leonard, 28, of De Soto was killed Friday evening (Jan. 25) in a one-vehicle accident on Hwy. P at Pete’s Private Drive near Victoria, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 5:50 p.m., Leonard was driving a 1989 Chevrolet 1500 south on Hwy. P, and at a left-hand curve, the pickup ran off the right side of the road, struck a tree and overturned, ejecting him, the report said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by Valle Ambulance personnel.
Leonard was not wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.
The pickup was totaled, the report said.
