traffic accident patrol patch

Juan A. Guzman, 61, of De Soto was injured Wednesday afternoon, June 1, in a three-vehicle accident at Hwy. 67 and Lee Pyle Road southwest of Olympian Village, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

At 3:40 p.m., Tonya M. Walker, 45, of Park Hills was driving a northbound 2010 Lincoln MKS and crossed the center line, and the front of the car struck the front of a southbound 2016 Ford Focus driven by Gary L. Mullins, 52, of De Soto. The MKS continued forward and struck the front of another southbound vehicle, a 2011 Toyota Sienna driven by Guzman, the report said.

No injuries were reported for Walker or Mullins.

Guzman, however, was moderately injured and taken by Joachim-Plattin Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, where he was treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.

All three drivers were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.

The MKS and Sienna were totaled, and the Focus was extensively damaged, the report said.
