A Cedar Hill teenager and a pair from Luebbering were hurt Friday morning (April 27) in a two-vehicle accident at Hwy. W and Patty Drive near the Fox Run Golf Club in Eureka, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 10:23 a.m., Kaitlyn Esch, 17, of Cedar Hill was headed north in a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am, and the car crossed the center line before she overcorrected, and then the car struck a southbound pickup head-on, the report said.
Esch was seriously hurt, according to the report.
Lloyd W. Cox, 64, of Luebbering was driving the pickup, a 2002 Dodge Ram 2500. He was moderately injured, and a passenger in the pickup – Susan C. Cox, 63, of Luebbering – was seriously injured, the report said.
Esch was taken by Northwest Jefferson County to St. Anthony’s Medical Center in south St. Louis County, Lloyd Cox was taken by Eureka Fire to Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur, and Susan Cox was taken by Big River Ambulance to Mercy Hospital St. Louis, according to the report.
All three were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.
Both vehicles were totaled, the report said.
