A Barnhart teenager and a Pevely man were hurt Wednesday morning (Oct. 11) in a two-vehicle accident on Hwy. M at Moss Hollow Road in Barnhart, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.
At 6:20 a.m., Bailey N. Painter, 17, of Barnhart was driving a 2009 Chevrolet Cavalier east on Hwy. M and while attempting to make a left turn, pulled into the path of a westbound pickup, and the front of the pickup struck the right side of the car, the report said.
Robert M. Teiber, 67, of Pevely was driving the pickup, a 2010 GMC Sierra. Both he and Panter were moderately injured and transported by Rock Township Ambulance to area hospitals – Panter to St. Anthony’s Medical Center in south St. Louis County and Teiber to Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City, according to the report.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.
The two vehicles were totaled, the report said.
