A 32-year-old Barnhart man died on May 9 in a motocross bike crash on Moss Hollow Road at Moss Drive in Barnhart, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 8:10 p.m., a 41-year-old Barnhart man was driving an eastbound 2021 Toyota Tundra and attempted a left turn onto Moss Drive, the report said. The 32-year-old man, riding a northbound 2024 Honda CRF450RWE, attempted to brake to avoid the vehicle. The motorbike partially overturned and began to slide, striking the right side of the Toyota and ejecting the rider, the report said.
According to the report, the 32-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene and taken by Edwards Mortuary Service to the St. Louis County medical examiner’s office.
Both men were wearing safety devices, and the Toyota and the Honda had minor damage, the report said.
