traffic accident patrol patch

An Arnold woman and a Festus woman were seriously injured Tuesday, March 14, in a three-vehicle accident on I-270 south of Tesson Ferry Road in south St. Louis County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

At 6:44 p.m., Tyler H. Paul, 21, of St. Peters was driving a 2001 Nissan Xterra north on the interstate and struck the back of a northbound 2020 Chevrolet Equinox driven by Kimberly A. Delf, 39, of Arnold, who was stopped in traffic. That collision pushed the Equinox into the back of a northbound 2024 Ford F150 driven by Clinton T. Wall, 34, of St. Charles, who was stopped ahead of Delf. Then, the Equinox crossed all lanes and struck the median, the report said.

Delf and a passenger in the Equinox – Tina E. Nugent, 52, of Festus – both were taken by Mehlville EMS to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, where Delf was treated and released and Nugent was in satisfactory condition as of Wednesday, March 15, a hospital spokesperson said.

Wall had minor injuries and was treated on the scene by St. Louis County EMS, the report said.

Paul, Wall and Nugent were wearing seat belts, and Delf was not wearing one, the patrol reported.

The Xterra and the Equinox were totaled, and the F150 was moderately damaged, the report said.
