Kyle A. Kellogg, 27, of Arnold was hurt Tuesday morning (Nov. 3) in a three-vehicle accident on I-55 south of Lindbergh Boulevard in south St. Louis County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 8:25 a.m., Kellogg was driving a 1998 Honda Accord south on the interstate and while changing lanes, struck a southbound 2019 Jeep Cherokee Latitude, and then both vehicles ran off the right side of the road and struck a cable barrier, the report said.
After that, the Accord traveled across the ramp to Lindbergh, struck a concrete barrier and then returned to the interstate. In the meantime, the Jeep traveled across the ramp to Lindbergh and was struck by a southbound 1995 Ford L8000 heavy-duty truck, according to the report.
Sheryl J. Cassoutt, 67, of St. Louis was driving the Jeep, and Austin R. Phillips, 21, of St. Charles was driving the truck. No injuries were reported for them.
However, Kellogg was moderately injured and taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, where he was treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.
All three drivers were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.
The Accord was totaled, the Jeep was extensively damaged and the truck had minor damage, the report said.
