Woofie loves the water, said owner Kaitlyn Layton of Festus.
“He spends most of his summer in the river,” she said. “He likes to swim and ride on the kayak.”
She said Woofie, 5, is a Catahoula-husky mix.
“The photo was taken a few years ago during our first float trip on the Meramec,” Layton said “This photo is special to me because it shows me what is possible between him and I. It shows the trust he and I have in each other.”
She said Woofie is a bold dog.
“He’s wild and free-spirited,” she said. “He’s all about the adventure.”
He also is an amiable pet, Layton said.
“He’s good-natured,” she said. “He gets along with other pets.”
