Pet Spot: Rubble named after ‘Paw Patrol’ dog

Casey Green of Crystal City submitted a photo of her dog, Rubble, for Pet Spot.

Rubble, a 1½-year-old cavapoo, gets his name from a cartoon show, said owner Casey Green of Crystal City.

A cavapoo is a mix of a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a poodle, she said.

“My youngest daughter, Gianna, who’s 6, named her,” Green said. “She watches ‘Paw Patrol,’ and Rubble is a dog on ‘Paw Patrol.’”

Green said she likes the look of cavapoos.

“They’re like teddy bears,” she said.

Rubble has a great personality, she said.

“He is the most loving and playful dog,” she said. “He loves to play fetch and doesn’t believe anyone is a stranger. Rubble is very, very friendly.

“Our other dog is Ryder, also a male. He’s a terrier mix. They get along very well.”

He enjoys being held.

“He is he true definition of a lap dog, because he will jump on your lap anytime you sit down,” she said.
