When temperatures start to drop, Roxie Rue gets treated to rides in a stroller, instead of her regular walks.

“When it gets colder out, we’ll put her in the pet stroller,” said her owner Taylor Menteer of Pevely. “Otherwise, she walks by herself when it’s warmer.”

Menteer, who works in home health care, said Roxie Rue, an 8-year-old rat terrier mix, brings joy to her and her clients.

“I adopted her from a 96-year-old client,” Menteer said. “She’d been with different families. She has a really sweet personality. She’ll go to work with me to people’s homes. They like to see her.”

Roxie Rue is an amiable, little dog, Menteer said.

“She gets along with our other pets very well,” Menteer added. “She’s a very well-behaved dog.”
