Pepper, now 6, is a mixed breed.
“Pepper went on a trip with us to Colorado Springs, Colo., and visited the Garden of the Gods,” Rosener said. “It’s a big set of giant rocks. You see Pikes Peak in the background.
“She was very popular with everyone she met there. Wherever we went, everybody wanted to see Pepper.”
He said Pepper is personable.
“She is just a very, very sweet dog,” he said. “She loves people.”
She does not bother the family’s other pets.
“We have two cats,” Rosener said. “She sort of coexists with them. She lets them be.”
He said he likes having Pepper as a pet.
“She’s sort of our constant companion,” Rosener said.
