Luke Orso of Eureka submitted this photo of JR taken in August 2021. JR, now 11, is a rough-haired collie.
“I love the way this captures his personality and reminds me how much he loves his stuffed animals,” Orso said. “He always has one of his many stuffed animals close by. He likes to play with his toys.”
He said JR is an easygoing pet.
“He doesn’t get upset,” Orso said. “He’s a very good dog. He gets along with people.”
JR does not always respond well to other dogs, however.
“He’s kind of dog aggressive, but he gets along with our other dog, Enzo,” he said. “Enzo is also a collie. They have the same mother, but Enzo is a year younger.”
Orso said JR is a valued member of his family.
“He’s been a fantastic dog for us,” he said.
