Ann Collier of Arnold took this photo in 2008 of her grandchildren, Beau (then 3) and Michelle (then 2) with Daisy, a golden retriever, when she was a puppy.
Daisy, who died of kidney failure at age 8 in 2016, is fondly remembered by the family, Collier said.
“Their daddy, Dan – my son – got Daisy as a surprise for my grandchildren,” she said. “She was a wonderful dog. She was so calm, so lovable to all children. She was just good around kids.”
Daisy liked to play, Collier said.
“She chased balls with the kids in the backyard,” Collier said.
Daisy also was obedient.
“She was a good listener, obeyed commands,” Collier said.
She said the family greatly misses Daisy.
“She was part of the family,” Collier said. “She was just easygoing.”
