Hogan, a 2-year-old schnoodle

Hogan, a schnoodle – a miniature schnauzer and poodle mix – was visiting Leader reporter Kevin Carbery’s Festus home when this photo was snapped.

Kevin’s dad, Mike Carbery of St. Louis County, owns Hogan, who turns 2 in December.

“He’s super active and super loud,” Mike said of Hogan. “When anybody walks by, he goes berserk. He’ll bark for 10 minutes.”

Hogan is friendly with other dogs, though.

“He thinks all dogs love him,” Mike said. “He’d run up to a coyote and think he’d want to play.”

Hogan is a good pet, Mike said.

“He’s my buddy. He can’t stand it when I leave. He’s exactly what he’s supposed to be, a good companion.”
