One-Dish Chicken Supper
4 cups boneless, skinless cubed chicken breasts
1 can (10 3/4-ounces) cream of chicken, or celery, or mushroom soup
1/3 cup milk
1 package Stove Top Stuffing (or other brand) mix and seasoning packet
1 2/3 cups water
8 ounces fresh sliced mushrooms
Place chicken in slow cooker.
Place mushrooms over chicken
Combine soup and milk and pour over chicken and mushrooms.
Combine stuffing mix, seasoning packet and water.
Spoon over soup mixture.
Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
Cheese Cake Bars
1/3 cup butter, softened
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 cup flour
1/2 cup finely chopped nuts
Cream butter with brown sugar in a small mixing bowl; add flour and nuts. Mix to make a crumb mixture. Reserve one cup for topping. Press remainder into bottom of an 8-inch square baking pan.
Filling:
1 (8-ounce package cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoons milk
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Mix well and beat until creamy. Pour over crumb mixture. Sprinkle remaining crumbs over filling. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes. Cut into bars when cooled.
