A 36-year-old Imperial man was injured after he allegedly tried to pass a car on Old Sugar Creek Road but instead clipped the back of the vehicle and went off the side of the road east of High Ridge. The SUV the man was driving overturned after leaving the road, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At about 6:35 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, Jeffery A. Stricker was driving a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee north on Old Sugar Creek when he reportedly attempted to pass a 2010 Pontiac Vibe driven by Donald L. Bolin, 49, of Imperial, the report said.
Stricker’s SUV traveled out of the lane and hit the rear passenger’s side of the Vibe. The Grand Cherokee traveled off the left side of the road south of Hunning Road and overturned, according to the report.
Stricker was moderately injured and taken by private conveyance to SSM Health St. Clare in Fenton. He was not listed in the hospital’s records, a hospital spokeswoman said.
According to the report, Stricker and Bolin were wearing seat belts, and the Cherokee was totaled and the Pontiac had minor damage.
No injuries were reported for Bolin.
