Taytro’s Bar & Bistro, 331 N. Creek Drive, in Festus will be closed for several days starting today (Sept. 3) because of a positive COVID-19 test, said Luke Tetrault, an owner.
He said the closure is simply a precautionary measure.
“We’re taking over-precautions,” Tetrault said. “We’re planning to reopen Tuesday (Sept. 8). This is the first time we’ve ever had something like this. It’s somebody related with the restaurant.”
Staff will go through COVID-19 testing while Taytro’s remains closed, he said.
Tetrault said the restaurant could have stayed open if the owners had decided to do so.
“We could open right now,” he said. “We just want to do our part not to spread anything. We want to err on the side of caution.”
