The Coffee Culture food truck is just one of the trucks that will be featured in the city of Pevely's upcoming Food Truck Fridays.

The city of Pevely will begin holding Food Truck Fridays on Sept. 17 and running through October. Both lunch and morning food truck sessions will be open on most of the dates.

Lunch sessions will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. featuring a variety of food trucks near the caboose in Pevely City Park, 60 Main St. A limited number of picnic tables are available at the park pavilion.

Morning sessions will be from 8-10 a.m. featuring a truck that serves coffee, tea and other beverages on the Pevely City Hall parking lot, 401 Main St. No picnic tables will be available for the morning sessions.

“We’re just trying to get something more for the people,” said Adam Mitchell, the city’s building official.

He said the city has not sponsored food truck visits before other than at festivals.

“This is kind of our test run,” Mitchell said. “If it goes well, we’ll try it again next year.”
