Katelyn Mary Skaggs
In the second episode of Clayton Echard’s season of “The Bachelor,” we saw him go on two group dates and a one-on-on date. He also locked lips with at least eight of the 22 ladies.
I honestly lost track of how many women he kissed, and I was taking notes.
Cassidy and Shanae were the villains of the episode. They seem to care more about winning the competition than Clayton’s heart.
On the first group date, singer, actor and mom Hilary Duff stopped by for this week’s celebrity appearance, and several of the contestants were tasked with planning a birthday party for a girl named Maya. Cassidy made it clear she did not care one bit about helping plan the party and just made out with Clayton most of the time.
Since Clayton made it clear in the first episode he is looking for someone to have children with, I believe she is not the one for him.
That was made even clearer when Sierra told Clayton that before the series started Cassidy had a friend with benefits partner and said she planned to reunite with him after she left the show.
Cassidy was given the date rose after the first group date, but after Sierra’s bombshell, Clayton asked host Jesse Palmer if a rose had ever been taken back.
I hope he takes the rose back and sends her packing.
Clayton also gave date roses to Susie, who he shared a one-on-one date with in this episode, and Sarah, who got her rose after the second group date.
Other drama on the episode included Shanae and Elizabeth getting into a tussle during the obstacle course on the second group date. I believe Shanae causes unnecessary drama and acts like the mean girl in high school, like when she made fun of Elizabeth for having ADHD.
One thing I am not impressed with this season is Clayton’s outfits. He started off the first episode in a beautiful navy suit, but once I saw him in a hoodie and suit jacket combo I was severely disappointed. What a casual and shabby outfit to wear when you are looking for your potential wife in a group of women dressed in stunning dresses.
I was even more disappointed when he showed up wearing a boring zip-up jacket to a fancy dinner with Susie. I really hope to see him step up his wardrobe game in the coming episodes.
No women were sent home during the latest episode since it ended before the rose ceremony.
My favorites for Clayton to end up with are Marlena, Susie and Teddi.
Now it’s your turn to share your top three favorite women. Have you changed your mind since the last episode after getting to know more about some of the women? Go vote in our poll and tell us who you want to see as Clayton’s final three.
Sadly, we have to wait until Monday, Jan. 24, to find out what happens to Cassidy.
