A 33-year-old House Springs man has been arrested for allegedly making methamphetamine in his vehicle while driving through Arnold, Arnold Police report.

The man was involved in an accident at about 7 a.m. March 29 at Telegraph and Wicks roads, and while officers were investigating the accident, they found what they believed to be a meth lab inside his vehicle, the report said.

He had acetone, drain cleaner, and other items commonly used to make meth inside a duffel bag in his vehicle, Arnold Police Major Nick McBroom said.

The man was “cooking and driving,” McBroom said.

He said the man admitted to being a heroin and meth user.

The man was arrested on drug charges and for driving while under the influence of narcotics, as well as for traffic violations, McBroom said.
