Eureka law firm brings experience, expertise to the game
Attorneys and staff at the Miller/Salsbury Law Firm, 925 W. Fifth St., Eureka, found that decades of experience prepared the firm to face the COVID-19 pandemic.
Attorneys George Miller and Douglas Salsbury had solo careers prior to teaming up in 1994. They have been joined by George’s daughter, Niki Miller.
Niki Miller said the history of the law firm goes back almost a century.
“My dad worked for his dad. My grandpa graduated law school in 1926,” she said.
When the COVID-19 crisis hit, Miller said the firm was quick to adapt.
“We’ve always been able to do that,” she said.
Clients can meet with attorneys via video conferences, teleconferences and – when necessary – in person.
“We are a small firm in terms of our numbers but not when you look at our years of experience,” she said.
George Miller and Salsbury started practicing law in the 1960s. Niki Miller has been practicing almost 30 years. The support staff boasts years of experience.
“We work like a pretty well-oiled machine,” she said.
All three attorneys are members of the national “Multimillion Dollar Advocates Forum.” Membership is limited to attorneys who have won million- and multi-million-dollar verdicts and settlements.
“We’ve had two or three of those in the last 12 months,” she said.
When George Miller and Salsbury were looking for a location for their firm, they found Eureka.
“We fell in love with the community of Eureka,” she said. “A lot of law firms in Eureka have come and gone. We’ve been very solid throughout.”
The law team delivers results while nurturing relationships with clients, she said.
“Those relationships mean something to us,” she said. “We are the voice for someone who needs help. We take that very seriously.”
