New dentist takes the drill at Eminent Dental

Dr. Katie Reuther, a dentist with 10 years of experience, has taken the reins at Eminent Dental in Arnold, from retiring dentist Dr. Homer Tourkakis.

Eminent Dental, 3613 Richardson Square Drive, Suite 100, welcomes

existing patients and new clients.

Tourkakis operated Eminent Dental for 35 years.

Reuther, a native of the St. Louis area, obtained a doctorate of dentistry degree from the Marquette University School of Dentistry in Milwaukee, Wis., and is a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving as a dentist in Guam. Prior to taking over the Arnold practice on Oct. 12, she worked at a dental practice in St. Louis for seven years.

“Our practice is focused on making your dental experience as comfortable as possible,” Reuther said.

“At your next appointment, we’ll be happy to answer any questions you may have.”

Eminent Dental’s office manager, Lisa Reuther, explained that making patients comfortable through the transition is important.

“People are sad to see Dr. Tourkakis go,” Lisa Reuther said. “However, they have been very welcoming to Dr. Katie. It’s very nice getting to know patients. We are taking new patients also.”

The dental office has put some COVID safety precautions in place for staff and patients. “There is cleaning happening all the time,” Lisa Reuther said.

“Masks are required. We take temperatures and ask questions before anyone comes inside the building.”

In addition to general dental services, the office provides teeth whitening, Invisalign, braces, dentures, implants and treatments for sleep apnea and snoring.

“We have same-day crowns, and that’s exciting,” she said.
