The Eureka football team’s defense has shut out three opponents this season and the Wildcats improved to 8-2 after holding Rockwood Summit to a field goal in a 21-3 victory in the Class 5 District 2 semifinals Nov. 7. The Falcons gained fewer than 200 yards on offense. Seniors Jack Berry (linebacker) and Blake Sitton (defensive back) intercepted passes, junior defensive lineman Noah McCollum and senior linebacker Zane Bone had sacks and Bone (pictured) led the defense with 10 total tackles.
