On Feb. 4, Makenna Jones, the daughter of Ken and Lindsay Jones of Crystal City, suffered cardiac arrest while playing in a CYC basketball game in Imperial. Makenna, 11 at the time, spent the next 54 days, including her 12th birthday, in the hospital recovering. Now back at home, Makenna has completed physical and speech therapy and is undergoing occupational therapy at Mercy Hospital Jefferson.
