Estopare, a pitcher and shortstop going into his senior year at Windsor, was the winning hurler for Rock (Post 283) in a 3-2 home victory over Missouri District 13 rival Festus Post 253 (2-6-1) June 11. He pitched five and 2/3 innings, allowing four hits and two unearned runs and striking out seven. Three days later he played shortstop at Ste. Genevieve and batted leadoff, drawing two walks with two stolen bases and a run scored in a 5-4 victory over Post 150 (4-3-1) as Rock’s record improved to 3-4.

Abi Chipps

The senior second baseman was named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Mideast All-Region third team in May. Chipps, a 2020 Jefferson graduate from Festus, also was selected this season to the All-Missouri Valley Conference Defensive first team for the third straight year. In her junior season, Chipps was the toughest batter in the NCAA to strike out, fanning only once in 112 at-bats, and also received the MVC Commissioner’s Academic Excellence Award. Chipps batted .344 this spring with a team-high 56 hits and 32 runs scored, to go with 12 stolen bases.
