Hillsboro resident Wilhelmina Springmeyer is new to the Jefferson County realty scene, but is already putting down roots.
The Nevada native, a skilled horsewoman, has a degree in marketing and extensive experience in hospitality, communications, business development and digital marketing.
“I had a corporate sales job, and it was really hard during the pandemic, very stressful,” she said. “Expanding to real estate is proving to be an exciting adventure and one of the best decisions of my life.”
It was the process of buying her own home that prompted her to refocus her career.
She said she and her boyfriend were neophytes to the home-buying process, and going through that experience showed her ways in which an informed, helpful agent could make it all go more smoothly.
“That is really what kind of propelled me into real estate.”
Since earning her real estate agent license in April, Springmeyer has worked with Wright Living Real Estate in Crystal City.
“When I became an agent, my mentor was a longtime agent, and she showed me how marketing and real estate are really alike,” she said. “I try my best to educate. I want the person happy with the deal and they can’t be if they don’t understand everything.”
Springmeyer said she offers a performance guarantee.
“I have several programs available for sellers and buyers,” she said. “They are designed to serve the best interests of the client.
“It’s about taking care of your client, building trust and relationships. It’s a long-term game. There’s no such thing as a one-time transaction.”
