Anyone interested in starting a home improvement project may want to check out the second annual West County Home & Garden Expo on Saturday, March 29.
The expo will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Greensfelder Recreation Complex at Queeny Park, 550 Weidman Road, in Manchester. The event is presented by the West St. Louis County Chamber of Commerce, and the title sponsor is Ballwin Tree Service, said Lori Kelling, the chamber’s president and CEO.
“It is all free and open to the public,” she said. “It’s kid friendly. We hope to have our kids’ corner again. We got a lot of rave reviews about that last year.”
Kelling said the chamber had a good ratio of exhibitors to attendees for the first year.
“The exhibitors loved the size of it,” she said. “They were able to have genuine conversations with the community, good one-to-one interactions. It wasn’t overly crowded.”
Kelling hopes to see more exhibitors and attendees this year, making the event even better. Exhibitors will specialize in both indoor and outdoor home improvement services, including roofing, landscaping, flooring, windows, guttering, bathroom remodels, HVAC, home insurance and more.
She said the expo will give customers a chance to meet the people behind the company – sales reps and owners.
Each attendee will receive a magazine featuring all the exhibitors, a great resource guide for anyone interested in home and garden improvements, Kelling said, adding that each exhibitor will have a drawing for a prize.
The chamber is still seeking exhibitors for the expo. It costs $200 for a chamber member to rent a booth and $300 for a non-member. To become a vendor, visit westcountychamber.com or email info@westcountychamber.com by March 17.
