Tinnin Homes works to serve clients for generations
Tinnin Homes and Construction has built homes for generations of families in southern Jefferson County.
The 36-year-old construction business is at 213 E. Main St. in Festus, and owner Jim Tinnin said the firm has seen plenty of business come from the same families.
“We may have built someone’s mom and dad a house years ago, and now we are building those parents’ kid a home,” the 62-year-old said.
Tinnin said he limits his company’s work to about a 20-mile radius around Festus, which helps the custom home building business because of his familiarity with the area.
“We have been affiliated with almost every subdivision in Festus,” he said. “We have done some subdivisions in Hillsboro and Pevely. We have built custom homes in De Soto. If someone is interested in knowing about a piece of ground around Festus, I probably know about it.”
Tinnin said his company strives for perfection when building a home, so it uses the highest quality materials. He also said Tinnin Homes works with the same subcontractors on nearly every home it builds.
“When you use quality people and quality materials, you create a quality product,” Tinnin said.
Tinnin said his company has been inundated by orders for custom-built homes, and while it may not always construct a new home the fastest, he said he believes his company’s homes are worth the wait.
“We are receiving plenty of customers, but we will not rush or cut corners to speed up the building process,” Tinnin said. “It may take a little more time, but we believe we are building a home our clients will be able to live in forever.”
