Don’t traipse to the big box store to pick up a few more boxes of Christmas lights. The admiration of your neighbors is just a call away.
For the fourth straight season, STL Brite Lights is installing Christmas lights on homes throughout the St. Louis area.
The Festus-based firm, owned by Charles Roberts, also maintains those lights throughout the season and then employees come back, take them down and store them for you for next year.
“We’ll be able to put lights on any style of house,” Roberts said.
Workers will hang the lights on your home and trim the cords to fit your house so there’s no dangling wires, he said.
“If you let us know, we can even put in leads so that you can plug in (lighted) wreaths off of our wires and we’ll even have cords for inflatables in your front yard, so you can operate everything off of one timer.”
Roberts said STL Brite Lights uses commercial-grade wiring with C-9 LED lights for energy efficiency.
“It’s not something we necessarily promote, but if you’ve got someone near you who likes to put up a big display, we pride ourselves on making your house stand out. Quite a few of our houses have won neighborhood decoration contests,” Roberts said.
If you’re just as much into Halloween as you are Christmas, Roberts said his company will install Halloween lights, come back after the trick-or-treaters have retreated and replace those purple and orange bulbs with red and green ones, or whatever colors you wish.
“It takes an hour or two to switch out all the bulbs,” Roberts said.
Lights can be hung for other occasions, too, such as weddings.
