Springtime means roof inspections should be on the calendar
Rob Stark, one of the owners of Stark Roofing in Cedar Hill, recommends homeowners get their roofs inspected every spring.
He said a roof inspection is even more important this spring because of all the ice we saw over the winter.
“This year we’ve had a bunch of ice and snow, and it can create issues that maybe have not arisen before,” he said. “The ice can do damage that snow and rain does not do. (Ice) can get in areas both on the roof and siding that snow and water does not get into, so the ice is alarming.”
He said Stark Roofing not only inspects roof but offers a wide variety of services.
“We do all aspects of roofing – residential and commercial,” he said. “We do asphalt shingles, metal roofing and commercial flat roofs. We do vinyl siding; we do seamless aluminum guttering.”
Stark said the family-owned business was started in 2000, and his dad, Rick Stark, and brother, Ryan Stark, are part of the business, too.
Rob Stark said his dad has 52 years of roofing experience.
“We’re not a storm-chasing company, meaning we’re not an out-of-town company that just chases the next hailstorm, does work on your house and then disappears,” he said. “We’re here locally. We own our own building.”
Stark said he, his father and brother all are Northwest High School alumni, and their office is next to the high school at 8480 Local Hillsboro Road.
